Who is the Gift Guide for?

The Gift Guide is for everyone! Specifically, it will mostly be used by parents (er, moms in most cases!) making gift choices for their entire family.

There will be categories for adults, kids, babies, groups, pets and cards/wrapping/accessories. We’ll even have a section for moms - so you can send the gift guide to your loved ones and tell them to get you something from there!

What reach will the Gift Guide have?

The Gift Guide will be promoted every week in Mom Entrepreneurs Supporting Moms: Network, Learn, IMPACT! At the time of writing, the group has 3000 members and is growing at 200 members per week.

As a Gift Guide Member, you’ll been able to share about any of your gift ideas in weekly posts or group Lives.

But the beauty of social selling is that all moms can share onwards and help each other out. We’ll do a Zoom call to get to know one another and the gifts being offered. We’ll also provide you with swipe copy to make sharing with your own networks easy.

Therefore, the reach of the Gift Guide will be the thousands of warm leads.

What can I list in the Gift Guide?

Products and services are welcome, both physical and digital in nature.

You can focus on 1 product or service per listing purchased. The listing is not for your entire store or a collection of products. If you want to reference other items available, you can write 1 sentence about it in your description (ex. More styles and colours available).

In the weekly Facebook Group posts, you can post about any of your other gift ideas, or your store or service offerings as a whole.

What is the difference between a Gift Guide Member and a Featured Member?

A regular member allows you to showcase 1 product or service in the Gift Guide. We’ll promote the Gift Guide every week, do group promotional posts in the Facebook group, encourage moms to share the guide with their networks and more. You can also share about any of your other products or services in the exclusive weekly thread or Live in the Facebook group.

A Featured Member listing gives you all this, plus special call-outs and promotional opportunities:

• We’ll feature you and your story, so that potential customers can connect with you as a person (remember, people buy from those they know, like and trust)

• Feature you and your story individually in the Facebook group

• Allow you to do 4 promotional posts or lives in the Facebook group, thus providing more touchpoints to get in front of customers

Do customers buy directly through the Gift Guide?

No, the Gift Guide itself is not transactional. It’s a lead generator for you. With each listing is a link for more information and to buy the gift - which redirects to YOUR website, product page, Etsy page, etc.

The same goes with the Facebook group - you add your website link for moms to find out more info + buy the gift.

How many listings can I make in the Gift Guide?

Each listing purchased allows for 1 gift to be featured. If you’d like to feature multiple gifts, you can purchase multiple listings. We recommend focusing on different categories for each gift: adults, teens, kids, babies, groups/families/couples and pets.

How is the Gift Guide organized?

The Gift Guide will include categories for adults, teens, kids, babies, groups/families/couples and pets. We may consolidate categories depending on the nature of listings received.

There will also be descriptors such as Eco-friendly, Homemade, Customizable, etc. This will allow you to call out special features of your gift.

We will put listings by category in the order they are received. Therefore, please purchase and submit the gift form as soon as you can.

The only exception is that if there are competitive products – we may adjust the order to showcase everyone’s product in the best light.

What is provided in the swipe copy?

The swipe copy will include images, Facebook post copy and email copy to make sharing with your network easier. Just copy, tweak as necessary and post.

When will the Gift Guide be live?

The Gift Guide will be live at the latest on November 15, 2021 until December 31, 2021 - just in time for Black Friday and Christmas.

However, the weekly exclusive promo threads in the Facebook group will start November 1, 2021. So you can start sharing about what you offer then.

What happens after I purchase a listing?

You will be given a link to a Google form to fill out information on your gift. Please fill this out as soon as you can, as we will be listing products by category in the order they are received.

Featured Members will be given separate instructions by email on how they promote their gift in the group.

What if I have a shippable product?

Shippable products are great! It’s best if your product can ship internationally, since the group is 80% in North America and 20% other countries. There is also a large contingent of group members who reside in the Toronto-Guelph-Hamilton area and for whom pick up may be possible.

What is the refund policy?

We offer a 7 day refund policy. If you’re not excited to move forward within 7 days of purchasing your listing, we’ll give you your money back.
